Once the client's initial consumption and tariff data have been analyzed, client facilities are audited by Carbon Busters energy consultants. In the course of the audit Carbon Busters interviews and consults with facility operators, knowledgeable maintenance staff and/or facility managers. A comprehensive audit identifies savings potential in various areas including HVAC and mechanical systems, the building envelope, water and wastewater systems, lighting systems, plug loads, process loads and facility operations. Following the onsite audit, building-specific audit reports are prepared. These reports contain the recommended efficiency measures and include cost, savings and payback estimates in terms of consumption units, dollars and carbon emissions. Recommendations range from no-cost measures, e.g. changing schedules or settings, through maintenance and health and safety suggestions to full-fledged retrofits and upgrades. In many cases recommendations involve innovative approachs or cutting edge technology that tend to be ignored in standard energy audits. The upshot is a thorough report that works for YOUR facility.
