Alberta Emerald Awards
The Alberta Foundation for Environmental Excellence was founded in 1991 to recognize the outstanding initiative and leadership Albertans are demonstrating in the face of environmental challenges. The Emerald Awards were created by the Foundation to celebrate these achievements, and the Foundation encourages all Alberta individuals, organizations and corporations to participate.
Nominations for Emerald Awards are accepted year round; any nominations received after the end of February will automatically be included in the judging for the next year's awards. All applications are judged by an independent panel of expert judges.
