Federation of Canadian Municipalities offers Green Municipal Funds
The Government of Canada has endowed the Federation of Canadian Municipalities with $250 million to establish the Green Municipal Funds. The purpose of this funding is to help municipalities take action to cut pollution, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve quality of life.
The funds help Canadian municipalities and their partners undertake projects to improve environmental performance or energy efficiency in municipal infrastructure.
Municipal governments are able to use this funding in combination with other federal and provincial/territorial funding programs.
