Shanthu Mano, Carbon Busters General Manager & Planner/Designer of zero carbon village

Shanthu Mano is the General Manager of Carbon Busters and oversees the day to day running of the company and its projects. With a background in Business, Psychology and Education, Shanthu has over 15 years of experience in managing programs that facilitate environmental education, project-based curriculum and sustainable and LEED® compliant building materials and designs.
Shanthu sits on several boards including the Livia Stoyke Foundation, the Provincial Working Group for the Education for Sustainable Development (Alberta ESD Working Group) and recently, the National Expert Council for the Education for Sustainable Development (NESDEC). Shanthu is passionate about sustainable communities and the promise they hold for our future. She has lived in an off-grid house for the last 18 years and is currently working on designing and building a project-based sustainable school, residences, farm and commercial buildings within the context of a zero carbon ecological village.
