What is an Eco-Star?
An Eco-Star is somebody in your school who works hard to save energy and protect the environment.Carbon Busters would like to recognize those people in your school who contribute to the success of our energy-saving program.
Nominate a student, teacher or custodian for the Eco-Star Award!
Prizes: (NEW)
Carbon Busters will make a donation to the Nature Conservancy to protect 1 acre of rainforest for each Eco-Star category. Each winner will receive a certificate in his/her name with a photo of the site as well as a one year subscription to the Nature Conservancy magazine.
All nominees will receive an Carbon Busters Eco-Star Certificate.
Who is eligible?
There are three categories for the Award:
- Students
- Teachers
- Custodians
Who can nominate?
Anyone in your school can nominate a person for the Eco-Star Award.
How do I nominate somebody?
Its easy:
- Fill out the nomination form (PDF 140 KB).
- Describe the nominee’s activities to save energy or help the environment. What do you admire in this person?
The more information you send us, the easier it is to choose a winner. - Send us the forms by fax, e-mail or mail.
